A. Joint Data Responsibility
NLC operates a company profile on LinkedIn, which involves the processing of personal data. In this context, NLC and LinkedIn are joint controllers for certain processing activities, specifically regarding LinkedIn Page Insights, in accordance with Article 4(7) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
When you visit or interact with our LinkedIn page, your personal data is processed both by LinkedIn and by NLC. This privacy policy explains the scope of NLC’s processing of your personal data in this context.
B. LinkedIn Terms and Privacy Policy
Use of our LinkedIn company page is governed by LinkedIn’s User Agreement, including the Page Insights Joint Controller Addendum, which defines the responsibilities of LinkedIn and NLC.

C. Purpose of Data Processing
I. Communication and Interaction
NLC uses LinkedIn to:
- communicate with users and visitors
- share information about the company, including products, services, and business areas
- provide updates on news, events, campaigns, and job postings
If you contact us via LinkedIn, we may process the information you have made publicly available on your LinkedIn profile, including, for example:
- name
- current position and employer
- professional experience and qualifications
- country of residence and industry
- other information you provide in your message
If you follow, like, comment on, or share our content, or mention NLC on LinkedIn, these interactions may also be processed by us as part of communication and engagement activities.
II. Statistics and User Analysis (Page Insights)
LinkedIn provides NLC with aggregated statistical data about visitors to our company page through Page Insights. These data are used to:
- understand reach and engagement
- improve communication and marketing efforts
Data are provided only in aggregated and anonymized form, and NLC cannot access information that identifies you personally. LinkedIn is solely responsible for the processing of personal data through Page Insights.
D. Legal Basis for Processing
NLC processes personal data based on the following legal grounds:
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) for effective communication, dialogue, and company representation on LinkedIn
- Contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) when communication relates to the performance of a contract
- Recruitment purposes, according to Section 12(3) of the Danish Data Protection Act, in connection with job postings and applications
- Legal claims, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, when processing is necessary to establish, assert, or defend legal claims
E. Data Sharing and Transfers
Personal data collected via LinkedIn may be transferred to LinkedIn Corporation in the USA as part of LinkedIn’s data processing operations.
NLC does not share personal data with third parties for the operation of our LinkedIn page.

LinkedIn users can control how their data are used for advertising and statistics via LinkedIn account settings.

d) Right to object
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
e) Right to withdraw consent
If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

These rights do not apply to anonymized or aggregated data where identification of individuals is not possible.
